The Malayalee Community of Horsham was officially established in December 2012 when two vibrant local associations—HMA and Rhythm—came together to form a single, family-focused organisation.
Our founding volunteers set out to keep Kerala traditions alive while helping new arrivals settle into life in Horsham. That early spirit of friendship, collaboration, and service still guides every programme we deliver today.
Over the years we have grown into a trusted cultural home, hosting landmark celebrations, championing charitable causes, and creating networks of support for members of all ages.
Positive Amalgamation
HMA and Rhythm unite to launch MCH as one community hub.
Flagship Celebrations
Christmas & New Year and Onam become the centrepiece events for families across Horsham.
Strengthened Governance
Elections transition from an annual November vote to a biennial cycle, supporting continuity and long-term planning.
Community Impact
Daya charity works and the Crisis Fund continue to provide practical support for members and neighbours in need.
